PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – The dots have been connecnected, the em,pty slots filled for the University of Southern Mkississippi’s 2025 football schedule.
The Sun Belt Conference announced all its games Friday, meaning USM and its conference brethren finally were able to let fans know dates _ if not times just yet _ for the conference portion of the fall schedule ahead.
USM will have seven home games for the first time since 2020, and in fact, opens with three straight at M.M. Roberts Stadium to open the calendar.
The Golden Eagles will host non-conference foes Mississippi State University (Aug.; 30) and Jackson State University (Sept. 6) to open the season.
That marks the first time USM will host a pair intrastate opponents since playing University of Mississippi and MSU in 1976 at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
The Golden Eagles then open SBC play by welcoming Appalachian State University (Sept. 13) to Hattiesburg for the first time since 2014.
The Golden Eagles hit the road for the first time to visit long-time rival Louisiana Tech University (Sept. 20) in Ruston, Louisiana, before closing out September with the fourth home game of the season, a tilt against Jacksonville State University (Sept. 27).
After an open Oct. 4 weekend, USM then begins a string of Sun Belt games, opening the stretch with a Thursday night game at Georgia Southern University (Oct. 9) in Savannah, Georgia.
The Golden Eagles stay on the road, visiting the University of Louisiana (Oct. 18), before finishing the month by returning to Hattiesburg for Homecoming and a visit from the University of Louisiana-Monroe (Oct. 25).
Following an open Nov. 1 weekend, USM begins a stretch of four games SBC to close out the regular season, with two games on the road and the last two home games of the season.
The Golden Eagles play at Arkansas State University (Nov. 8) in Jonesboro, Arkansas,, before welcoming Texas State University (Nov. 15) to Hattiesburg.
USM then wraps up its road schedule with a short trip down the road to play at the University of South Alabama (Nov. 22). in Mobile, Alabama, before a visit from Troy University (Nov. 29) concludes the regular season.
The league championship game is scheduled for Dec. 6.
Kickoff times and networks for all midweek games and weekend games in the first three weeks of the season will be selected in late May.
All other games will fall into the traditional 12-day selection process.
Season tickets renewals are currently available by going online at SouthernMissTickets.com, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or by visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The deadline to renew season tickets for the 2025 season is Friday, March 28.
New season tickets will be available for sale on March 17.
