Reinhardt Joins Saint Xavier Football Staff as DC

CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University football team (5-6, 1-4 MSFA Midwest) and the Saint Xavier University athletic department are excited to announce the hiring of Tyler Reinhardt to the football coaching staff as the teams new Defensive Coordinator. Reinhardt joins the Cougars after coaching at NCAA Division III University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he served as the defensive backs coach and Kickoff Team coach, as well as being an assistant Strength and Conditioning coach for both the football team and the women’s golf team for the Pioneers.
 
Reinhardt coached at UW-Platteville for the last four seasons. He earned his undergrad in Health and Human Performance and played for UWP, graduating in 2021. While playing for the Pioneers, he was a four-year letterwinner, two-time All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and a team captain. Reinhardt also earned his masters from Arkansas State University in Sports Administration.
 
Reinhardt had this to say about joining the Saint Xavier coaching staff: “I am extremely excited to take over the defense here at Saint Xavier University. I can’t wait to get to work with the athletes and staff here and continue to compete for National Championships. We are going to play fast, physical, and together every snap of the ball. We are going to create tremendous trust within each other, grow and develop great relationships and work harder than anyone in the country. It’s a special time to be a Cougar fan!”
 
From head coach Mike Feminis: “We’re extremely excited to have Tyler join the SXU football family and I am especially happy for our defensive players.  It became very clear during the hiring process that Tyler checked all the boxes.  Tyler’s experience and success he had at UW-Platteville as a player, assistant coach and recruiter in the best Division III conference, the WIAC, in the country set him apart and has prepared him for this next step in his coaching career.  I can’t wait for the start of spring ball to watch Tyler implement his defensive philosophy and scheme to our guys, it’s going to be fun!”
