Kansas already has 12 players committed in the 2026 class but the Jayhawks still have plenty of needs to fill in the 2026 cycle over the next few months. The month of June is once again shaping up to be a critical time for Lance Leipold and his KU staff and the Jayhawks are already solidifying their official visit lists for the critical recruiting period.
KU is being very methodical with the way it is scheduling visits this year. At the moment, there will be two big weekends and the hope will be that by the time June 18 hits and KU hosts its final camp of the summer that the class will be almost entirely wrapped up if not entirely wrapped up. In past years, KU hasn’t typically gone above 12 or 13 high school recruits on campus for an official visit weekend but I think there’s a world in which KU goes up to 15 players for the first big weekend.
The June 6-8 weekend is the first major one. Eight committed players have already confirmed they have official visits set for the weekend. I expect KU to bring in its top uncommitted targets for this weekend as well.
I expect Top247 tight end Ian Premer to take his official visit to KU this weekend in June. He continues to be a top target for KU and someone the Jayhawks are making a consistent push with.
