This evening your Jay County School Board unanimously voted for the hiring of our next Varsity Football Coach.
We are thrilled to welcome Coach Eddie Fields, his wife Jennifer and their son Bryan to the Jay County family. With over 20 years of experience we look forward to his leadership, and vision for our football program. Coach Fields will be instrumental in taking our team to new heights. He is looking forward to becoming a vital part of The Patriot Way! Coach is eager to get started and currently living in Georgia.
They have begun the next steps to return to Indiana and look forward to getting to Jay and getting to work! Another Great Day to be a Patriot!
Fields, is a graduate of Whitko High School and IPFW, most recently he was the head football coach at Manchester for one season. (Fields resigned as the head football coach at Manchester High School in May 2024 after his teaching position was cut. ) Fields has made numerous stops during his coaching career including Ft. Wayne Elmhurst, South Side, Manchester University, Space Coast (Florida), Brantley County (Georgia), Hannah Pamplico HS (SC) where he was the Defensive Coordinator and this past season as an assistant coach at Wayne County (Ga), the Yellowjackets were 0-10 this past season.
His son played this past season at Wayne County, he will be a Junior.
