The Niners open the 2025 season at Bank of America Stadium against Appalachian State.
CHARLOTTE – A season opener at Bank of America Stadium, a visit from the Tar Heels of Chapel Hill to Jerry Richardson Stadium, and two weekday home games on national television highlight the 2025 Charlotte Football schedule, announced by the American Athletic Conference on Friday.
Charlotte will open the Tim Albin era, who won 31 games over the past three seasons at Ohio before joining Niner Nation, at Bank of America Stadium on Friday, August 29 against Appalachian State.
Tickets for the Duke’s Mayo Classic game, hosted by the Charlotte Sports Foundation, are currently on sale now.
The 49ers won’t leave the Queen City for the first month of the season as they are slated to host North Carolina on Sept. 6, Monmouth on Sept. 13, and Rice in the AAC opener on Thursday, Sept. 18 – all at Richardson Stadium.
Following an open date, Charlotte heads to South Florida (Friday, Oct. 3) and Army (Saturday, Oct. 11) before closing out the month with a pair of home dates vs. Temple (Oct. 18) and North Texas (Oct. 24).
November holds just one home game for the Green and White when they host UTSA for Senior Day on Nov. 15. Charlotte will travel three times that month: to East Carolina (Nov. 8), to Georgia (Nov. 22), and to Tulane (Nov. 29).
Kick times and television designations will be announced at a later date by the conference.
